About Munroe Apothecary:
Munro’s Apothecary is a small family business founded by Sarah Donaldson to celebrate her love of all things natural. Nature inspired Beauty with soaps & skincare to enhance our lives and wellbeing.
Sarah is British, her family come from Scotland and to her, roots matter. That’s how the name Munro’s Apothecary was chosen, it's her father’s clan name and her son’s middle name, there’s a lot in a name! There’s love, tradition, strength, passion, heart and soul. It's what keeps us all together in the end. It reminds us of where we come from and who we are. In the Scottish highlands there’s a sense of real freedom, and wildness is born into us.
Growing up on a small farm taught Sarah what’s healthy and good right from the beginning. A former Chef, herb farmer and lavender grower, her experience turned into expertise that has contributed to the knowledge and care that is put into all products crafted by her. The products are made in small batches to ensure quality and freshness, using only natural ingredients
Munro's Apothecary, formerly known as Sarah’s soaps as it began in 2008, started with just one healing bar of soap, made originally for a Skateboarder (Bob Burnquist) who owned Burnquist Organic’s. It helped relieve hard working farm hands, stiff joints, bruises and skin issues. Little did Sarah know it was only the start of this adventure!
It wasn’t until Sarah worked on a Lavender farm making their products, and was asked to teach a class on soap making, that she realized there was a real interest for her natural soap and the process behind it. The classes quickly gained popularity & became successful. Now teaching is what Sarah loves best of all; sharing her knowledge & skills with others so they can benefit their own health and wellbeing simply.
Her soaps help heal and uplift you. When you first start to use them, the warm water & steam release the aromas and pure joys of the essential oils, relaxing your mind and body by releasing muscle tension & mental strain.
The natural oils & butters soothe & moisturize your skin to keep it looking younger & always at its best.
We only use things from Nature.
Nature is Simply Beautiful & so are you
