WHAT IS a farm box?

A Farm Box is also known as a CSA Box (Community Supported Agriculture). Its origins come from townships that would bring in a farmer to tend to the land with families pitching in to invest in the crops. At the end of the growing season, the crops were split amongst the families. Nowadays, the model looks a bit different, but has the same mindset and goal.

What our Farm Box members are saying

“One of my favorite things that came out of 2019 was discovering the difference in farm fresh ingredients. I can never go back. Thank you @sandnstraw.”
— Kayla S.

“As a cancer survivor, I have decided to grow as much produce organically as I can. When Sand n Straw opened and offered the Farm Box program, my husband and I decided to join to supplement our garden. They grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and we have been able to try produce that we never would have picked up at the store. Thanks Rich, April and your family for all your hard work!”
— Leesa L.

“This is, by far, the best Farm Box I've ever had. My entire family, including two little girls, are excited to pick it up every week and we love the delicious, fresh produce. Sand N' Straw farm is a true community treasure. We always bring out of town guests and they are impressed with this gem of a farm and the quality produce. We look forward to being Farm Box members for a very long time.”
